Welcome to Nursery!

You have lots of people in Nursery to help you, Mrs Clarke, Miss Birch, Mrs Reddington, Mrs Davies and Mrs Fothergill. Mrs Royal and Miss Shaikh are also here too.

At school every day you will need:

Your book bag
Water bottle
Planner folder
To wear your school uniform (see document below)

Curriculum

In Nursery and Reception we have a two year curriculum plan that is designed to be fun and engaging whilst also meeting the requirements of the Early Years Statutory Framework.

Every two years the curriculum repeats. Outcomes are carefully planned to meet the needs of our children and to enable them to be the 'Best They Can Be'.

Sometimes our curriculum will change according to significant events that will impact on the lives of our children; for example, National or International Sporting Events like the Olympic Games.

Home learning

Reading Eggs: Nursery have individual logins to use Reading Eggs at home. Login details are sent home at the start of each school year and stuck in the front of the children's planners. Mrs Martin will print out your certificates to be awarded in class.
Reading: Children choose a book from our library every week. Children and parents are expected to share a book at home at least three times each week. This can be any book from home, the local library but including your school book.
